We all too often are reminded to hustle by the hustle culture fans in social media. Push forward today and damn the consequences. While in theory, humans can do this up to a certain point, it is bound to be to their detriment in the long run. Self-care has become increasingly important, especially considering the uncertainty that is out there in the world at this time. Taking care of oneself includes getting a proper night of sleep. The other issue with this is that many people are not aware of truly how many hours of sleep a night that they should actually be trying to get. If you’re a typical adult, the minimum number of hours per night should be 7 hours of sleep. You may be tempted to shoot for less, but your body wasn’t really built that way.
