Over at Creative Class, they have a summary of the recent survey from Gallup-Heathways Well-Being Index shows that small business owners have the highest overall well-being. A quote from the survey that resonates with me:
“Their high well-being, despite working longer hours, supports Gallup research showing that working long hours is only highly detrimental to well-being for those who are less engaged in their work.”
The entrepreneurs I know feel the same way. We do it because we enjoy what we do and controlling our own destiny is important to us.
